Tony reviewed and implemented several NHS information systems before 1996 and has focused on mental health since. Working with service users and professionals, he developed the pioneering mental health benchmarking system commended in the NSF, covering adult acute, older people and child and adolescent mental health services. Co-author of the NHS Mental Health Information Strategy, he is a veteran of many NHS benchmarking projects.
Tony designed and managed both the LIT Self Assessment process 2001- 2005 and the national Financial Mapping of mental health services from 2001 to date. He has undertaken various studies into, and developed forecasting tools for, the prevalence of mental health disorders, learning disabilities and substance misuse.

• developing practical needs based data collection and reporting
systems
Tony maintains a keen interest in aviation and military history and enjoys fell walking with his family.
