Sue is a Senior Consultant with Mental Health Strategies. She is a qualified general and psychiatric nurse. She has a BSc (Hons) Psychology and an MSc Occupational Psychology both from Birkbeck College, University of London. She also has an MSc Culture & Health from University College London. Prior to joining us Sue was a Service Manager at Camden & Islington Mental Health & Social Care Trust, London, where she managed a range of inpatient and community services.
Over a period of fifteen years Sue held a range of senior nurse and managerial positions in the NHS and in the independent sector. Sue is also an experienced researcher. Whilst a Service Manager at Camden & Islington Mental Health & Social Care Trust she conducted a research project with Dr Sushrut Jadhav from University College London entitled “Sensitising Mental Health Professionals to Islam”. This project won the Trans-cultural Nursing & Healthcare Award in 2002. In May 2004 Camden & Islington presented Sue with an award for her innovative work.
Sue joined Mental Health Strategies in August 2004.
Outside work Sue spends as much time as possible with her family and tries to make the most of living in London.
