Nick started his RMN training in 1982 at St Nicholas Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne. Since then he has worked in a range of different and challenging roles from clinical team management, acting Service Director, PCT mental health commissioning manager and IT Project Manager, both in England and Canada.
Nicks ability to bridge the clinical and management gap is second to none, and he has an MBA from Sheffield University. Having developed a keen interest in the legal and ethical aspects of healthcare, he is currently undertaking a Masters Degree at Cardiff University in the Legal Aspects of Medical Practice. His consulting philosophy is based around the need for organisations to balance the areas of strategy, people, processes and technology in order to deliver excellence and manage change.

Nick's recent projects include:
• Leading a benchmarking project on service provision and investment
• Strategic Outline Cases for Learning Disability Services
• Supporting several Trusts' Foundation Trust application process and development programme
• Developing a marketing strategy
Outside of work Nick is kept very busy with three teenage boys, but if ever he gets the time he likes to go walking and mountain biking in the peak district.
