Ken is an extremely experienced healthcare planner having been involved in some of the largest and most complex healthcare capital projects. Ken’s experience spans the acute sector, mental health, community healthcare and primary care.
A former co-founder of Healthcare Environments Ken has recently joined our team of healthcare planners. Ken originally trained as a nurse and was a senior manager for Nottingham District Health Authority. He then became the Regional Nursing officer for Trent Health Authority responsible for advising on the region wide capital development programme and he helped establish Trent Estates Executive Agency. Ken was also seconded to the Department of Health where he was responsible clinical input into a number of important building regulation documents. He was also involved in writing the "Design Guide for Community Hospitals", and "Environments for Quality Care". Ken brings a detailed knowledge of healthcare planning IT systems and tools and he was responsible for creating a room data sheet and room loaded plan system.
