Martin Bould

Martin has worked as a management consultant and as a commissioner of mental health services for the last fifteen years, prior to joining Mental Health Strategies full-time in 2007. He began his career in the voluntary sector and community development, before moving into the NHS, where he delivered a major programme to develop modern mental health services in partnership with local authorities.
His interest as a consultant is in working alongside Trusts, PCTs, and local partnerships to design and implement significant improvements in mental health services. Martin works in a facilitative way with clinical leaders and interagency partners, including the voluntary sector, service users, carers and their representatives.
Recent consultancy projects include market assessments and Integrated Business Plans for applicant Foundation Trusts, mental health strategic, configuration and service reviews, specialist commissioning for PCTs and capacity, estate and financial planning. His experience covers all age groups and all aspects of mental health services, including work with architects and business case development. He recently project managed the reconfiguration of community mental health teams in a London Borough.
Outside work his interests are vintage football, story telling and his recently extended family.
