Ken is an extremely experienced healthcare planner having been involved in some of the largest and most complex healthcare capital projects. Ken's experience includes working with Trusts on the acute, mental health and primary care sectors facilitating both strategic and capital deliverables.
A former co-founder of Healthcare Environments Ken has recently joined our team of healthcare planners. Ken originally trained as a nurse and was a senior manager for Nottingham District Health Authority responsible for advising in the region wide capital development programme. Ken was also seconded to the Department of Health where he was responsible for clinical input into a number of important capital guidance documents. He was also involved in writing the 'Design Guide for Community Hospitals' and 'Environments for Quality Care'. Ken brings a detailed knowledge of healthcare planning IT systems and tools and he was responsible for creating a room data sheet and room loaded plan system.
