Jenny Gill
PGDip, Cert IHSM, MSc
Jenny has a background in Mental Health NHS Management having worked for both NHS Trusts and commissioning agencies. She has extensive experience of working across statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations at all levels and of developing effective communication between design teams and Trusts. She has an in depth knowledge of the mental health stakeholder context.
She has worked as a Healthcare Planner for a number of years covering PFI, P21 and LIFT schemes for acute, primary and her specialist area of Mental Health services working both as Trust Advisor and as a member of the design team. She has been involved in mental health schemes ranging from specialist service facilities of 300+ to small single service units. She has an excellent understanding of services for mental health having been involved in the planning of facilities for many services including adult, older people, eating disorders, deaf, psychological therapies, mother and baby, forensic services and many others. She has a good understanding of the requirements for the mental health agenda and has worked with services throughout England to ensure that national and local priorities are met.
Jenny is a member of the NHS Design Review Panel and is currently working with the Central Office of Information as main editor of the new Health Building Note for Adult Acute Mental Health and Medium Secure.
Jenny enjoys cooking for her family, reading and spending time with her family. She is currently Editorial Representative for British Mensa and also edits a monthly newsletter for the North East Region.
