Below are some comments we have received from our clients in the Primary Care Trusts area:
"I certainly benefitted more from our meeting on Friday as I gained lots of insights on how to make my work more strategic. As CDWs we sometimes get engrossed in day to day operational/tactical matters and miss out on fundamental issues that drive the issues we seek to address." Belonwu Ezenwa, Community Development Worker, City & Hackney tPCT
"Just a short note on behalf of all the South West London Mental Health commissioners to say that we have been very impressed with the work undertaken by yourself, Sue and the whole team at Mental Health Strategies involved with undertaking the review of the Easting Disorders and Behavioural Psychotherapy services provided by South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust." Aarti Joshi, Head of Mental Health Commissioning
"The depth, scope and content of the report was exactly as I had originally conceived it in my mind’s eye report, and for that I am very grateful. There is a feast of highly useful information and issues in the report, which we will be taking forward as a priority in the next few weeks." Andrew Northall, Mental Health Services Commissioner
"Noting the suicide statistics for young men in Pendle was one of the highest in the country, East Lancashire PCT received funding from Pendle Borough Council for a 3 month project around Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness with a particular focus on males aged below 45 years. We asked Mental Health Strategies to run the Suicide Prevention project which included a publicity campaign and training for a range of employers and services in the Pendle area. The mental health awareness / wellbeing leaflets were easy to read, interesting and provided much valued information. Postcards and posters also provided useful contact information for anyone suffering from mental health problems. We had 80 people attend the 4 training sessions carried out over 2 days. The feedback from the training was first-rate with the only negative comments suggesting that they would like to learn more. Since this intitial project in Pendle we have commissioned Mental Health Strategies to provide training in Burnley and they are also carrying out similar work in Accrington."
